1. Independence and affiliation

DocuServices NZ is operated by GOV PAPERS SL (CIF B25989039), a private company registered in Spain. We are an independent data validation and error correction provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by or in any way connected to:

• The New Zealand Government
• The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA)
• Births, Deaths and Marriages New Zealand (BDM)
• Any other New Zealand government agency or official registry

Use of official terminology (such as "marriage certificate", "BDM", "registration number") is solely for the purpose of describing the documents on which we perform data validation and error correction. Such usage does not imply any official status or government affiliation.

2. Nature of the service

DocuServices NZ provides two distinct services:

• Data validation — we check the information on your NZ marriage certificate against authoritative sources to identify any discrepancies, inconsistencies or potential errors in the recorded data
• Error correction reporting — where our validation process identifies an error or discrepancy, we document the correction required and send you a detailed email report specifying exactly what data needs to be corrected and how

We do not act on your behalf with any government agency. We do not submit correction requests to BDM or any other official body. We provide you with the information and documentation needed for you to pursue any official correction through the appropriate channels.

3. No official certificates issued

DocuServices NZ does not issue, produce, certify, authenticate or replace official New Zealand marriage certificates or any other official document. Any document, report or correspondence we produce is a private data validation report from an independent provider — it has no official legal standing and cannot substitute for an official certificate issued by BDM.

4. Accuracy of data validation

While we apply a rigorous validation and error correction process, we make no warranty — express or implied — that our data validation output is free from error or that it identifies every discrepancy in a given document. The accuracy of our validation depends on the quality and completeness of the information you provide to us and on the reference sources available at the time of the validation.

Our error correction reports are provided on an "as-is" basis for informational purposes. You should not rely solely on our report when making legal, financial or personal decisions.

5. No legal or official advice

Nothing in our data validation reports, error correction documentation, website content, emails or any other communications from DocuServices NZ constitutes legal advice, official guidance or a representation of the legal status of any document. If you require legal advice regarding your NZ marriage certificate or related matters, you should consult a qualified legal professional.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GOV PAPERS SL and DocuServices NZ exclude all liability for:

• Any loss or damage arising from your reliance on our data validation reports or error correction output
• Delays, errors or omissions in our validation process
• The outcome of any official correction procedure you pursue based on our report
• Any third-party action or decision made in response to our error correction documentation

Our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the amount you paid for that service.
